Same DJs, same bottle service, completely different trip. Pick the one that matches your group's energy.
A dayclub and a nightclub sell the same fantasy with different clocks. One happens in daylight with swimwear and sunscreen; the other starts late and can run past 4 a.m. Choosing is really a question about your group: how late you stay up, what you want to wear, and whether the money goes on a bed or a booth. This sits inside the Nightlife hub.
Dayclubs typically open late morning and close in the early evening — Encore Beach Club lists a dayclub opening around 11 a.m. and closing between roughly 5:30 and 6:30 p.m., and LIV Beach lists Friday to Sunday, 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nightclubs usually open around 10:30 p.m. and can run until about 4 a.m. Set times and hours vary by event, so check the venue’s calendar rather than assuming.
That gap decides more trips than the lineup does. A pool party lets you arrive fresh and still make dinner; a nightclub is a full evening commitment that ends after most people’s bedtime.
Dayclubs are swimwear venues. Encore Beach Club asks for appropriate swimwear and cover-ups, permits shorts and flip-flops, and bans jeans and pants; LIV Beach allows swim attire only, refusing regular shorts and dress shoes. Nightclubs invert it: upscale attire, with swimwear often explicitly prohibited. Our dress-code guide breaks down each list.
Both venues sell general admission and reserved seating, and both charge more for a weekend and a big name. The difference is what you are buying. At a dayclub, the sun, the pool, and shade are the scarce goods — a cabana or daybed buys relief from heat as much as it buys service. At a nightclub, seating itself is the scarce good, because general admission is standing room only and VIP tables are the only way to sit.
Neither price is universal. Ticket costs, minimum spends, and taxes move with the date, so treat any figure you read online as a snapshot and ask what the minimum includes before you split it. Reserve through the venue’s own site or ticketing partner.
Do not confuse a ticketed dayclub with the resort pool next door. Wynn and Encore restrict their resort pools to hotel guests, who must bring a room key, while their ticketed dayclub welcomes the public at 21+. Want a quiet swim and a lounger? Book the pool. Want a DJ and a crowd? Buy dayclub admission. Our pools and dayclubs guide covers the wider scene.
Bring the physical government-issued photo ID the venue accepts, because photos and copies are commonly refused, and expect a security search. Buy a ticket if certainty matters, since guest lists are capacity-dependent and never a guaranteed entry. If a table or cabana is in play, confirm the arrival deadline and cancellation terms in writing — how table reservations work applies to both. Finally, protect the next day: sun, alcohol, and desert heat are a demanding combination, and the pool and dayclub etiquette guide covers shade, water, and cabanas.
Did you know? Encore Beach Club and XS Nightclub sit at the same resort and both run the same bottle-service model, but Encore Beach Club bans jeans and pants outright while XS bans swimwear at its regular nightclub events — only its special Night Swim dates allow swimwear instead.
